# Submara
> Submara is Norway's leading provider of underwater and survey services. The company performs inspection, construction, and maintenance of critical infrastructure in maritime and subsea environments — including pipelines, power plants, harbours, cables, and water/sewage systems. Submara operates 16 bases along the entire Norwegian coast, from Longyearbyen (78°N) to Kristiansand (58°N), and maintains 24/7 emergency readiness.
Submara was founded in 2023 by consolidating several regional diving and survey companies, the oldest dating back to 1965. The group combines local expertise with national capacity and advanced technology including ROV, USV (unmanned surface vessels), multibeam sonar, photogrammetry, and 3D scanning. Key clients include Å Energi, Oslo municipality (VAV), Kystverket, Statens Vegvesen, and Skanska Norge.
